Extension and alteration to private dwelling Surby, Port Erin

The existing cottage was stripped out from ground floor level to roof level, leaving the four walls standing. A new two storey rear extension was constructed in cavity blockwork with new ground and first floor constructions and roof with slate covering. New uPVC fascias, soffits and rainwater goods were installed together with new uPVC windows, rear external door new complete timber front porch and timber French doors to side gable. All new internal joinery, internal doors, staircase, etc. installed complete with internal plasterworks, new electrical and plumbing/heating installations, external boiler and oil tank. The dwelling was rendered completely externally and painted. A raised parking area was formed to the rear with galvanised access gates and railings, the front wall reinstated and the parking area, side along the existing stream and the frontage all hard paved.
